I am a journalist, broadcast producer, media strategist, PR chick, wife AND mother to 5 daughters!

Currently working in communications for Nightlife Music in Brisbane.

Over the past few years I’ve pulled on a bib as the Marketing and Media Manager for the Queensland Firebirds and Netball Queensland, worn the corporate clobber for a PR firm, slipped into new shoes for three gigs as Media Manager for the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Festival Brisbane and in between freelanced for an array of media organisations, shows and online publications including documentaries for the Nine Network on the Brisbane Broncos 30 years and trekking 250kms across the Simpson Desert for charity Youngcare, as well as producing stints for Grand Designs Australia, ITV, Seven Network and an odd Mamamia blog.

Before all that I was State Producer for the now defunct Channel 7 Today Tonight program, TT’s Olympic producer for the Beijing Games, news journo for Channel 9, and reporter for Wide World of Sport and the Footy Show.

I love to travel, books, the beach, yoga, wine, champagne, running, sport, sisterhoods, and my family.

So here I am combining my media background in writing, staying healthy, motherhood and a love of sharing what I love.

Hi Karryn 🙂 Bruce here, from Gympie. I’ve been enjoying the emails of your posts when they pop up 🙂 Just wondering though, if you might share with me a little of your tech smarts. I’ve noticed the emails only give a spoiler and then a link to the blog post to read the whole thing. How do you do that? Cheers mate – and I hope they’re sending you better interview subjects than we were 🙂 Bruce x
